Adesuwa Omoruan is dubbed the "queen of selfies" by her siblings. She confesses to taking more selfies than regulars photographs. When Adesuwa Omoruan was a child, she never thought or imagined herself becoming a broadcaster; it was the last thing she ever thought of becoming. As far as she was concerned, the lifestyle of reporters was not up to par with the kind of life she wanted, as the young dreamer that she was at the time. She wanted a life that was rich and full of the best life could offer, although she wasn't seeking a life that was necessarily flamboyant. "I just felt that journalist were not paid enough... My idea of a journalist wasn't just working at that time. Sometimes they looked very stressed, very few of them had cars... Growing up, I had this picture of what I wanted to be in life..." The overnight success of Olajumoke Orisaguna is an inspiring tale of patience, perseverance, courage and opportunity. It is a divine orchestration of events to set one on the part of greatness.
Born in the year 1989 in Ire, Osun state. Olajumoke was trained as hairdresser before starting a family with her artisan husband, Sunday Orisaguna. This was to be deciding factor for her future as she was forced,by circumstances perhaps, to travel to the economy capital of West Africa, Lagos where fortune soon smiled on her.
Orisaguna had spoken of the time she spent selling bread, living with others like herself and praying to God. She hoped and had faith, she was strong and courageous.
Finally, she stumbled upon what was to become a deliverance- a photo-shoot of the British rapper, Tinie Tempah who was being photographed by renowned photographer, TY Bello.
Seeing Orisaguna's potential to be a model, TY Bello launched an online campaign to find her unlikely superstar. Afterwards, Olajumoke Orisaguna became a name that gave hope to others like her.
After her portrait appeared on the cover of Style Magazine, she was subsequently offered a modeling contract, internship and work.
Furthermore, she was awarded a scholarship by Sujimoto group and Poise Nigeria. She is undergoing a course in Etiquette, Soft Skills, Social Graces and Communication at Poise Nigeria.
Her success story would linger for life.
