Jay Z was born Shawn Corey Carter on December 4, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York. He has enjoyed numerous successes in his music, business and investments and he's reportedly worth about $550 million according to a 2015 estimate. He is the founder of the music label Roc Nation.

Jay Z, along with his siblings, were raised by his mother, Gloria Carter. He attended the same high school with late rapper, The Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes.

His interest in music developed at a very young age. After getting a boom box for his birthday, Jay Z started freestyling and writing lyrics. Afterwards, he started selling CDs off his car. He went on to found an independent label, Roc-A-Fella Records, in 1995 with Damon Dash and Kareem Biggs.

Jay Z had some success at the early stage of his career. In 1996, he released his debut album, Reasonable Doubt which climaxed at number 23 on the Billboard 200 and was widely accepted by music critics. His follow up album, In my Lifetime Vol. 1, which was produced by Sean "Diddy" Combs (known as Puff Daddy at the time), sold better than his debut.

In 1998, he released Vol. 2 Hard Knock Life, which is arguably his most commercially successful album.

Jay Z has since then released subsequent chart topping albums. He holds the record for the most number one album by a solo artist on the Billboard 200. He has had four number ones at the Billboard Hot 100. Rolling Stone as ranked him as the 88th greatest artist of all time.

As a business man, Jay Z has built for himself a sound business empire not only in music but also in clothing lines (Rocawear), beverages, real estate and sports. He co-owns the 40/40 Club in New York. He is also a part owner of the Brooklyn Nets NBA team.

Usain Bolt was born Usain Saint Leo Bolt on the 21st of August, 1986 in Sherwood Content, Trelawny, Jamaica. Bolt was born to compete in the sports. As a child, he spent his time playing crickets and soccer in the streets. "When I was young, I didn't really think about anything other than sports".
