"The most important career choice you'll make is who you marry."- Sheryl Sandberg Facebook COO

"The most important decision many of you will make, not all of you, will be the spouse you choose," since "you will move in the direction of the people that you associate with."- Warren Buffet

How very fitting! This really points to my mindset about marriage. Ever since I can remember, ever since I was a kid, I've always thought it was more important to marry the kind of person that'll increase my value, and who's life would inspire me to be do bigger things, to go for more- someone who wouldn't hold me back but spur me on. The sort of person who wants to rule the world- a marriage that'll be a power-partnership.

Some people get married for the most stupid of reasons! Some just want to settle down. Think again! Do you really want to be stuck with this person for LIFE?!!!
Love is good in a marriage. Hell, it's great, but it's not all. A dear man of God once said God didn't say "marry the one you love. He said, 'love the one you marry'". I totally agree!

Getting married should enhance you and your partner's ambition; your coming together should be the fusion of a force to topple obstacles and get higher levels of success. Back in the days, we got marriages that were made simply to strengthen family ties, to strengthen grip on power and so on.

Now, it is very important you get married for all the right reasons aside from this. Take the time to discover your future partner. Don't just look at his/her appealing physical features. I wanna know, how does her mind work? What is she aiming for? How high is she aiming? How is getting married to her going to help us become greater individuals as well as a couple? How would she impact my life?

These are the right questions to ask in deciding whom to settle down with. Hey, your marriage can enhance your progress in life... if you make the right choice!
